Unit 2: Journey On

I enjoyed the Journey On, I clicked on the audio at the precise time that I needed to, and these are my thoughts; To achieve an inner sense of calm we must have peacefulness, this is attained by being still, reflecting, and meditating. To be free from worry and strife one must have a peaceful heart. To understand yourself you must become quiet so you can clearly comprehend what is important and what isn't. Peace comes when you let go of things you can't control. Everything can be done better when you are relaxed.

  1. I do agree that stopping and meditating calms me and helps me focus. The part where you were to remove your shoes intrigued me. I wear shoes all the time and taking off my shoes was liberating.

  2. I agree that things come together better when in a relaxed mode. However this is something I have a hard time with but I do feel that I don't have allot of worries or strife. I do have peace about my self and my life in where it is going. I believe that all things come form God and that he is preparing the way into the future for me and I do not need to worry about it. But I do realize that for my health I do need to relax, sit still for more then 2 minutes at a time and clear my mind to be able to let my inner self heal. So this is something that I will be working on in the very near future.

  3. I am so glad you enjoyed the audio. Unfortunately this was no the one I needed to relax with. I must say I felt more relaxed reading you post with the yello highlights and the calming words such as peacefulness, reflecting, calm. So I may just send your message to my phone in case of emergencies.

But for now, I will just "Journey On" to find the right one for "ME"

    Good luck fellow blogger...great job!

  4. You said it perfectly in one sentence: "Peace comes when you let go of things you can't control." Life is never going to be perfect or always going well. My dad would always say, "You have to just stay even keel Amy. You can't be too high when you are doing well and you can't be too low when you aren't." Basically, understand that your decisions lead you to where you are and want to be. Make decisions you will be happy with so believe that whatever decision you make, it was made with the intent you were doing your best. It is up to our minds to believe in it and push forward.

  5. I think as a society we probably need to do more relaxation like this. Just imagine how many people would be able to let go of the little things if they had (or made) enough time to go within and focus their minds on relaxing. I do believe that we are so busy as a culture, we forget how important it is to calm down and thus we become tired and sick, as our bodies force us to slow down. If we could all learn to just focus, relax, and let go, as you said, what a different world this could be! : )

  6. I agree with Kim on taking off your shoes...for me its walking through the grass barefoot. I believe everyone needs to try and take a few moments out of their busy day/week to allow their minds to relax and come back to peace or should I say sanity!
